Watching the slain NSG officer Major Unnikrishnan’s father call Kerala chief minister “a dog” was heart-warming. With anger against our politicians at an all-time high, watching the bereaved man scream out a nation’s collective frustration was like a balm to the soul.

Our politicians failed us, as always, during the Mumbai terror attack:

1. Our intelligence agencies, a lazy behemoth working under political pressure, failed

2. NSG commandoes reached Mumbai after 9 hours of the attack, courtesy the Home Ministry that reacted late. They needed their beauty sleep!

3. Our Home Minister, on national TV, announced how many NSG commandoes were headed towards Mumbai and when they would reach. The terrorists watched and reinforced themselves

4. Even during the ordeal, politicians risked the security operation to grab media attention

5. After the ordeal was over, the netas trooped in with taxpayer’s money for some “donations”

6. After that it was time to “salute” the martyrs with flowers and flowery speeches parroted after every tragedy.

But the biggest failure of India: WE ELECTED THESE POLITICIANS!

But who is the alternative?
